Hi, we use Word Templates to create reports and documents from Dynamics.
The two options when adding an XML field to a Word Template are Plain Text or Rich Text.
Both of these result in all formatting/spacing/layout being lost.
When you compare what you see on the screen to what you get when you print the word document it is just a long string of text and no formatting or spacing.
Anyone come across a way to keep the formatting intact when inserting fields to a Word Template?
Thanks in advance,
Carl.

This issue is resolved with Dynamics Docs.
Dynamics Docs can PDF Word Templates populated with fields from CRM records and the solution works with all CRM versions not just with CRM 2016 onward.

Hi Carl,
Line breaks are not available for plain text content controls. Currently for CRM Word templates, only plain text controls are supported.

Hope this helps.
Hi, thanks for your reply but I know how to make and apply the template ad they are working properly.
The problem is that when you print out the template all the formatting/line breaks/paragraphs etc. etc. are lost in the transfer from Dynamics to Word.
If I missed the part in your link/reference that told me how to fix that I apologise and maybe you could highlight just that piece?
