Export more than 10,000 records to Excel - ?

Hello, I need to be able to export up to 50,000 records all at once vs. the standard 10,000 set by Microsoft.  I found several tutorials about how to modify registry keys for CRM 2011 but nothing for CRM 2013. Are the procedures listed for CRM 2011 safe and accurate for CRM 2013? If not, can you point me in the right direction or give a step-by-step?

Tutorial Link: support.microsoft.com/.../911395

Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

SO far, I tried this (regedit method) and as well the database update (if you are using onPremise) :

    anythingcrm.blogspot.com/.../export-10000-rows-out-of-crm-in-excel.html

I did it in the CRM 2013, first I updated the Database, but still not work, so I update the regedit as well, and did IIS RESET or Server restart, and actually it worked. I did not see any impact until now, actually :)

Thank you for the response! That is great to know that it works in CRM 2013 as well. Unfortunately I won't be able to test this until next week (at the earliest) because the person I need to get approval from is out this week on vacation. However, I will come back here and post my results  once I have an update. Again, thank you so much! :)

    Hi, yes, no problem.

I just tried that about last two weeks for importing about 40k++ data rows

Sorry, cannot attach you the screenshot since the server is only for local access, and now, I am not at the client site :)

Go into SQL Manager, find the database you wanna modify, run a "new query" and type:

    Update OrganizationBase

Set MaxRecordsForExportToExcel=50000 ---Or set to 100,000 if you really want.

**Execute** (should say one row affected or something similar.)

Restart and you should be set.

Thank you Aileen Gusni & Weston for assisting me in solving this issue. In the end, we used Weston's suggestion because it was easier for us to make the change using the SQL Manager. For anyone else out there, it was easy to implement & so far hasn't caused any errors on the production side & dev on Dynamics CRM 2013.

    Hi nice to know that,

Well, basically I gave you two solutions, using SQL Manager update or regedit, if you open the link that I gave to you.

    Unsupported by Microsoft

As a principal, In CRM world any direct interaction with the database except for reporting using Filtered views is unsupported by Microsoft.

I will classify this change as low-risk unsupported change.

Open SQL Management Studio on your database server

Run a new query on <OrganizationName>_MSCRM

Select MaxRecordsForExportToExcel From OrganizationBase where Name = ‘OrganizationName’

This query will show you the value of MaxRecordsForExportToExcel in the organization database. It will be 10000 (by default) if it has not been updated

Run update query to update this value to 65000 (if you want to export 65000 records in an excel spread sheet).

Update OrganizationBase Set MaxRecordsForExportToExcel=65000 where Name = ‘OrganizationName’

If you now run the select statement again, you will see the value as 65000. This should now allow you to export 65,000 records out of CRM in excel spread sheet.

If the database update still failed, then you should restart first then update the regedit if still not worked.

So basically, also suggested using SQL.

    Hope it helps!

    Thanks.
