Errors comes up when trying to change ETD date notes.

I'm afraid I can't help you much with that. I believe you have a customization in place that gives you that option. On my standard SL screen, I do not have Requested ETD and Date Notes on my Purchasing Maintenance screen.
Take a look at KB article 871359. We sometimes see this error when printing reports but maybe some of the resolutions in this article will work.
The error comes up when we are working on the Purchasing Module: After pulling out a PO, on the bottom go to Requested ETD and Date Notes. After clicking on date notes the error message comes up: XNT0100 Run-time error "429": ActiveX component can't create object. Now we have another desktop and on that one there's no error message.
