Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

We are using GP 10 version(10.00.1301) and while pressing the account lookup button the GP is getting crash and the event viewer is showing the followind error:

The description for Event ID ( 1000 ) in Source ( Dexterity ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: dynamics.exe, 10.0.320.0, 48b7297e, dynamics.exe, 10.0.320.0, 48b7297e, 0, 000539eb.

Can you log in at the server and try again. The server should give you a proper error message. Can you post it here?

It looks like it could be data corruption in the Account Master file. Have you tried running a check links on the Account master tables? If not, do so and see if it throws anything up, then try again to do a look up.

Have you GP installed on the server?

If so, does it happen there?

Can you upgrade to latest service pack?

Does this happen at all workstations?

    Best regards,
