I am following these instructions to  Add your JavaScript code in a Script web resource in Dynamics 365.  But it does not answer the basic question of how do you get to Navigate to your Customer Engagement instance in browser, and go to Settings > Customizations.

Here are the screens I see when I open https://port.crm.dynamics.com/G/Instances/InstancePicker.aspx?redirect=False

Update.  Works on Chrome on Windows and IE on Windows.  Does not work on Chrome on Debian or Chromebook, meaning the sales drop down that lets you get to customization is not there.

It's working.  Thanks for setting up trial environment. It only appears to work using IE browser.  I tried Chromebook on Windows Edge, Chromebook, and Debian, and even Chromebook incognito mode (meaning no extensions like cookie blockers)

Its in the User entity. Settings >> Security >> Users  >> Open your user record >> You will find the button to 'Promote as admin'

Where it the "promote to admin" button.  Also I tried to add the sales app before when I only signed up for the crm trial not knowing I needed the sale app.  And then when you go to add app sales was not there.  All that was there is 3rd party-apps.  So let's stick with the installation I have please as I signed up for the trial twice already and not sure it will work for the third time using the same email.

Also, i normally select "none of these" option while creating the trials so that i can the full/ default capabilities of CRM and not the customized one.

Let me tell you what else I have tried.  I created a new trial and this time picked the sales app.  The screen looks like the attached one.  Since I created this with my own domain walkerrowe.com I should be administrator.  But cannot find any customization button.  So cannot get to modify web form to add JavaScript.

    Here is URL:  https://walkerrowe1.crm5.dynamics.com

RE: where is screen to add JavaScript customization

    Hi Ravi,

I am going to have to stop working on this as it appears taking the shortcut of editing the URL to cause the editor to show up is not working.  When I do that the editor shows up, but none of the buttons work since the query URL is missing the APP ID, etc.  The "Tools" app is missing which is probably because we skipped some setup step and do not have knowledge of how to fix that on our end since we are just trying to write an interface from Dynamics and not use it is production.  So we can mark this issue as closed but not solved.

    thanks.

    Walker

Okay, try to see if you are able to customize the entity. If you are able to customize then it means you do not have the setting modules listed in the app.

Hope this helps. Do remember to close the thread once you find your answer
