Need help on doing a physical inventory the last time we did it items that were in negative stayed in negative and did not correct the ones that were not in store. When we started physical we put everything at 0 and then scanned inventory in.

Also, on top of Jeff's suggestion, I have seen an issue like this that was caused by an SQL option that was set to bulk logged instead of simple for the recovery model.

For this, go into SQL Server management studio (you can find the express version online for free) and then right click the database then go to properties.  Go to the options tab and then check the recovery model to ensure that it is set to "Simple".

    Best Regards,

    Shawn with Microsoft Retail Support.

Did you do two PIs?  One that zeroed things and then do another only counted PI?

To create a zero, do a new PI, accept the defaults and then a calculate and commit it, that zeros everything.  Next do your preferred option of entering in counted items and then calculate and commit.  That will leave things at 0 unless you counted them.

    Hi Andrew,

We have a simple to use handheld solution that will allow you to perform physical inventory count.  It will allow you to count the items in the store and reconcile with RMS using the built in physical inventory count feature.

It is very easy to use and setup and you can be counting away in a matter of minutes!  Please call me so I can help you get started.

    Thx

    Shawn
