Tracking zero costs and quantity in Inventory

Posted on by 1,270

Hi All

I have a scenario that was recently brought to my attention by a customer who wants a workaround in Dynamics SL to accommodate their business practices.

At present the client holds inventory for a particular company in a separate warehouse.  Sales orders are created for the items during the month outside of the system but they want to begin to input the same into the system and at the end of the month the inventory items should be at zero costs to them. They also want to track quantities for the inventory in the system so at any given point, they will be able to tell the on hand quantity for the items.

Anyone has any ideas how this can be seamlessly handled by the system?

I think the scenario is as stated, but if there is need for any clarification, do let me know.

Thanks for the input in advance.

Regards

Lisa
