Hi Guys,
one of my customers faces the problem that when he trys to open an attachement in onedrive, for e.g. purchase order, following error occurs:
The client ID or client key has not been initialized.
Tried to dig my way through the codeunits MS is using, but didnt really find a clue how to solve.
He is able to open his onedrive folder from the personal settings, that is the reason i am a bit confused. Any ideas?!
Regards,
Marco
Hello,
In My Settings there is something called Cloud Storage. Has that been initialized. It should go to OneDrive / Sharepoint.
Thanks.
Hi ZHU,
that is exactly what i am asking myself too - user is having super permissions so this cant be the problem. i already opened a ticket for ms support, i think it has something to do with the multitenant app registration, since this occurs on a embed version in one of our products.
But tbh it drives me crazy that it doesnt work.
Regards,
Marco
Hi, This is very strange, if he is able to open his onedrive folder from the personal settings, it means there is no problem with verification.
Did you try to add Super permission to him?
I have tried adding this button to other pages before, which requires a Codeunit to be executed. Is it possible that it is caused by not having permission to run this Codeunit?
More Details:
Hope this will help.
Thanks.

Hi Marco,
by Personal settings i mean the personal settings in business central where you can change language, working date etc.... there is a link to you personal onedrive folder. using this works - also working in onedrive. so license is there.
Regards,
Marco
Hello,
There are a few requirements for this:
Each user must have a license for Business Central and OneDrive as part of a Microsoft 365 plan.
OneDrive must be set up for each user.
Have these requirements been met? When you talk about personal settings, are they actually logging on to to OneDrive with their Office 365 account?
Thanks.
Good Morning,
no - i dont think any setup was done. Normally, afaik, there is no setup needed - at least i never heard of it.
Your link mainly refers to on premise, my customer is using cloud.
Still the weird fact is, that opening onedrive from his personal settings is possible, but not using "open in onedrive" from any document.
Shouldnt a missing setup also decline opening onedrive out of your personal settings?
Regards,
Marco
Have you been through the required setup as documented by Microsoft ?
Hi
Sorry for basic question, have your client followed guideline like this for original setup? Thanks
