Nav 2009 - making bulk changes to items

Hi there

We have a really old version of NAV (2009) and would like to know if we can do some sort of upload to make changes to items. For example, we have hundreds of items we need to block or change the vendor.

We also want to update thousands of prices as we have price lists from suppliers. I can only see the option of "suggest standard cost function" which is manual as you update the price on screen. Is there an upload template to change prices?

Best suggestion here is to upgrade to the latest version to take great benefit of the latest Microsoft technologies.

NAV 2009 is now completely out of support - not even in mainstream support -.

As mentioned from others in this thread, you could make your processes more smooth and be more productive.

thanks again for your response but this import function is not available on NAV 2009. Think I'm stuck doing everything manually as our version is so old.

    Check this post:

You can use Excel buffer to do an import in your table.

    Thank you

    thank you for your response.

Can you clarify what you mean by process only report and upload?

I believe your other option of rapid start is only available on newer versions and not 2009 - would that be correct?

You can use a process only report and upload your updated changes.

Another option is use RapidStart > Configuration Package. Reference: https://www.inecta.com/import-data-with-rapid-start-in-microsoft-dynamics-nav
