I have an order that has been picked to Completion, but the receiving address was bad. After contacting the customer they wish to cancel the order, so is there a way to Un-Pick items to free up the Sales Order to be deleted/cancelled?

Yes we have a SHIPDOOR location that orders get put to before shipping them. So I was able to get the Inventory to Unpick and be left at that location to free up the Sales Order.
Thanks for your help
Going in the update line 'Pick' allowed me to Unpick the items and delete the order.
Thanks for your help
Hi ,
GO to load details form, Click the "Reduce picked quantity" on the Load lines.
Select the Move location and click ok. It will move into the corresponding location. But the location should not be License plate tracing enabled. It will delete the Load, shipment and Work order Put location will be cancelled.
We cannot use sales line -->Updateline-->Pick option
Hope this will help you.
As long as all inventory dimensions are specified on the pick option you can unpick from the SO line. At least I do that in CU9.
It helps to have an ShipError location to put the unpicked items. from there you can build a Inventory movement to put the goods away.
Hi,
You're in the right place. In non-Warehouse management scenarios, you can use it to un-pick as well as pick. I'm not sure what it would do in combination with Warehouse management. Can you test it first?
The packing slip has not posted yet, but I am not finding a Pick option when in the sales order lines. I opened up the sales order and see the drop down menus of Sales order line, Financials, Inventory, Product and Supply, Update line and Warehouse. Under Inventory & Sales order lines there is no 'Pick' option. I do see a 'Pick' option under Update line, but that seems to be actually picking more of the item instead of un-picking. Am I in the right place?
We are running CU8 and the packing slip has not posted yet.
As Guy pointed out correctly once the load is completed you cant reduce the picked qty from the load side.
However, if you haven't posted the packing slip yet I would suggest to try change the picked qty from the sales order directly.
if you go to the sales line and inventory you will find the 'Pick' option. You should be able to unpick there.
If the Shipment/Load have the Status 'Shipped', I think there is no way back. You will have to post the packing slip. If you are running R3 CU8, you will probably be able to Cancel the Packing Slip. Can you test it first?
If you are running CU9 - CU11, you will not be able to cancel the packing slip. You will have to invoice, and then process it as a return.
And if you can wait until CU12, you will be able to both reverse a shipment that is 'Shipped', and/or cancel the packing slip, which I think is good to know.
The packing slip has not been posted.
