Hello

Is there a way to add asterisks on marketing form fields so that the person filling it out knows which fields are mandatory?

Thanks

Gemma

    Hi Gemma2020 ,

Every field you add on the marketing form can be made 'required' and an asterisk will appear.

Select the field on the form which you want to be made mandatory; Hover to the properties tab:

Hope this answers your questions. Please select yes to verify.

Thanks. Oh that isn't the case with ours. No asterisk appears.

    Hi Gemma,

If that is the case, can you check your Personal settings in the app and 'uncheck' the Enable high contrast setting .

You may have to clear the user’s browser cache to see the changes.

Also this is user specific view, all users must do these changes.

Thanks for that. I selected high contrast and cleared cache and still not showing. Also, if that means its just a user specific view, will it even show when we embed the form on an external website? The issue is that we want our leads to see the asterisk when they complete our website forms.

    Appreciate your help.

After testing with a new form, it appears that it depends on what form you select. Some of them have the asterisk and others don't. Is there a way of applying the asterisk to all forms?

    Hi,

I have checked the HTML of the forms which can show the asterisk.

There will be a span after the label of the field.

So you just need to add this line into the HTML of the form after the the label of your required field, the asterisk will be shown then.
For example, the Gender field is not a required one, but I still added this after it.

The asterisk will be shown anyway.

    Hi Gemma,

It is unfortunate that mentioned workaround did not solve your problem.

Just for clarification ,by user-specific view , I meant CRM user specific view ; as it is a personal setting 'Enable high contrast'. Your colleagues using the system might have the make the changes as well. When you embed this form it will be shown to the leads, no problem with that.

Thanks Nya. I'm still a bit confused as it looks like the code on the form matches what you have, yet the asterisk doesn't show.

    Hi Gemma2020,

The <span> of the "*" should be pasted outside of the <label> of the Last Name.

    It should be something like:

    *
