I've set up GP2010 in Windows Server 2008R2 environment. Some users get a light blue alternate row color when viewing records (good), some users get a windows theme alternate row color (bad, same color as the background window, hard to read). The users are set up identically

I have the same question (0)"Microsoft Dynamics GP > User Preferences > Display" is the place to can change things, and those things are very limited. The alternating rows cannot be changed here (but that would be nice). The display is a combination of Microsoft's main GP UI and Window's theme, so if you have one user with a different look than another user in a terminal server environment, the problem might be in the settings.
My suggestion is to double-check your server user GPO to enforce a specific theme, color settings, etc, and lock it down. This should bring everyone to the same looking window and prevent anyone from changing Window's themes.
