Location directive doesn't work

Hello every body,

I'm working with microsoft dynamics ax 2012 R3, the location directive for picking doesn't work, have you any idea about that! (the putting location directive works very well!)

Hi Julia,

You can download the Warehouse Management System Implementation Guide for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3. This will guide you in the setup.

Without detailed information, it is not possible to tell you directly what is wrong. Please read this document and update the issue if you still have questions or if you found the problem.

We need more info than that. What exactly does not work?

Have you checked the work creation log? What does it say about the location directive you expected to be picked?

Can you share a screenshot of your location directive setup?

Thank you for your answer, this is my setup

The product has a positive quantity in the inventory on its fixed location but when i release the work, picking has no location, it seems that il doesn't work with the directive location at all for picking! what shoud i verify?

A wild guess - can you check that you have all the number sequences defined under the Warehouse management parameters? Specifically, for Work ID.

Thank you but like you can see on the picture below, all my sequence numbers are specified, I really don't understand what's happening, any suggestion?

Hi Julia,

Have you tried to disable the tickbox in the field 'Only use item fixed locations'?

Yes I have tried nut it doesn't work, when I delete the line below the work is created at the release of the wave but there is no location of picking...

Have you looked at your Work Creation History? You can enable it on the Warehouse Management parameters form (under the Work fast tab) and then go to your Wave, the Work tab in the button ActionPane, then the Creation History button. Try to find the location you think it should be picking and see if it says why it failed.
