Purchase order posting error - An error has occurred in the services framework. Method: AifMessageInspector::AfterReceiveRequest. Error: System.ServiceModel.FaultException: Failed to logon to Microsoft Dynamics AX

Hi All,

we are getting the below error while posting the Purchase order, it is not occurring frequently, but sometimes it is stucking while posting the Purchase order. Our AX version is AX2012 R3 CU9,

we have tried with Full compile, Full CIL and DB sync.

The application is getting hung and the Purchase order is taking around 1.5 - 2 hours to post,  and in event veiwer getting the below error during the posting time (application hung state):

Object Server 01: An error has occurred in the services framework. Method: AifMessageInspector::AfterReceiveRequest. Error: System.ServiceModel.FaultException: Failed to logon to Microsoft Dynamics AX.

Please suggest us how we can resolve this issue.

    Hi Akbar,

    Is this during posting of the confirmation, receipt, invoice or all of them? Do you post it on the client or in batch? Is it happening for all users or just one?

    When the application is in a hanging state, have you reviewed the SQL server activity for possible database locks or deadlocks?

    Hi Andre,

    We are able to Confirm, Receipt and Invoice the Purchase order fine, after tax invoice while posting, the application is getting hanged.

    Many of the users are facing the application hung issue. It looks like a performance issue.

    It is not occurring frequently, once in a while sometimes posting takes 1-2 hours and sometimes it will complete in 10-15 minutes.

    As per our understanding posting is on the batch.

    We did not check SQL server, we will check and let you know about.

    Please advise how we can improve the performance.

    Hi Akbar,

    I'm not familiar with a tax invoice. Is this specific in your country or possible a customization? When you are experiencing the issue, you can start SQL activity monitor to see what actually is happening. There can be a missing index or multiple users trying to lock a certain table. I have also seen scenarios where an automatic number sequence cleanup was causing some serious delay.

    There is no customization related to tax invoice. I meant Purchase order invoice only. we will check the SQL server when the issue occurred.

    If multiple users trying to lock tables then is there any way to avoid the locking or any solution for this.

    Please advise us.

    Were you able to look at SQL activity already when there were issues?

    Hi Andre,

    We didn't know how to check SQL side, we have tried the below link by adding the "AOS service account" in users as "System user" and "System administrator", from that time onwards we have not faced long-time PO posting issue, it is posting within 5 minutes.
