Payment integration with Dynamics 365 Sales and Power Apps Portal

Hello Community,

Does anyone have any experience integrating payment processing (i.e. Paypal or others) with the Dynamics 365 Sales application and the Power Apps Portal? If yes, could someone help advising what the best option is? I am currently evaluating a client requirement where they would like to (1) process payment in Dynamics 365 Sales, and (2) allow external contact to submit payment via the portal

I did some quick research and it seems most payment processing integration is with D365 F&O, or D365 Business Central, or D365 Commerce.

Our client is specifically looking for payment processing with D365 Sales.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Eric,

For any type of Integration, there are 2 ways:
Server Side integration
Client Side integration

This is applicable for this payment gateway integration scenario as well.

But, PowerPortal only has "Client Side integration" capability.
So if 3rd Party Payment Gateway supports "Client Side integration", then yes, it is possible.
If 3rd Party Payment Gateway supports only "Server side Integration" and not "Client Side integration", then it is not possible.

Stripe is one of the payment gateway provider, which supports "Client Side integration"
