Is there a way to install Dynamics SL 2011 in drive D?

I'm trying to do it but I get an error message that says:

"Unable to find client setup configuration file"

and the another message appears

"Error 3: The system could not find the specified path"

And the installation stops.

Any hekp will be aprreciated.

Miguel, we do it all the time. We usually create a custom folder for the install on a drive other than the C drive named Program Files (x86) and then let the installation create Microsoft Dynamics\SL\Applications etc..

We usually download the files to the same drive under a different folder and it works without exception. Are you using the Run as Administrator option? Signed on as a Domain Admin, UAC turned off?

    Hello Carolyn

My computer has a solid state drive C: with limited size and a D: drive with one TB in space, that is why I want to install both the server and the client on drive D: and is what I haven't been able to do.

Would it work if first I install only the serever part on drive D: and then install the client part?

I'm trying to install Dynamics SL 2011 FP1 on my computer (both the application and the client)

    for testing and support purposes.

    Miguel,

Thank you for posting your question to the forum. When installing the client on a workstation you would not change the drive letter. When the SL client installs it does not install program files like most applications.

Are you changing the mapped drive path to the D:\ drive?

    Please let us know.
