I am using GP 10 ,we have analytical accounting,tried to run multilevel query wizard for the analytical,choose year 2012 ,period 1,message displayed that please enter valid fiscal year between 0 and 0

we already closed 2011 and opened new fiscal year 2012

BTW: If you hit F1 this is directly out of the help menus. Hope it helps.

To define fiscal years:

1. Open the Reporting Periods window.

(Microsoft Dynamics GP menu >> Tools >> Setup >> Company >> Analytical Accounting >> Options >> Reporting Periods button)

2. The Year field displays the current open year. Select a year from the fiscal years set up in Microsoft Dynamics GP. The Fiscal View and the Calendar view columns display information for the selected year.

3. Choose the printer icon button to print the settings for the selected year.

4. Choose OK to close the window.

Well, i did go to Tools>>Setup>>company>>Analytical Accounting>>Options and i clicked on the Reporting Periods , and for some reasons the periods don't exist.

Is there anyway to generate them?

Did you go into the query (Query Maintenance) and choose NEXT. Then look at the Period Options on your query. Choose the year and the period. It could be that your query. not seeing the period. Also, look at the Analytical Options and look and make sure your periods exist.. Tools>>Setup>>company>>Analytical Accounting>>Options then on the bottom look at the reporting periods.
