fax and axapta 4.0 integration

Hi all,

I have a requirement from the customer to send documents through fax automatically (Axapta 4.0 and fax integration). Instead of using fax server to fax documents, they are using the Xerox printer to fax documents manually.

I have seen some code for axapta and fax integration. They were using COM wrap class wizard and tried to connect to fax server. it didn't match with my requirement.

I have tried to run the report and set the output into printer and set the print type is fax. It was done perfectly, but it came up with a new window, asking the fax# and receipient name. I want to do it through code automatically without displaying the window.

Any ideas, or resources where I could dig deeper would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

DavidS

    Hi,

In your case i think that you have to customize the print handling framework of AX, or use

    a third party tool/solution.

I know that there is a solution called Fax AVM that has been used on an AX 2009 project.

It should be compatible with AX 4 also.

    Regards.

DocuFire for Windows is a fully integrated faxing, emailing and printing solution for AX.  It interfaces with Microsoft Fax and also offers a turn-key Internet Faxing Service. DocuFire adapts to your existing forms and uses the fax and email contact data directly from AX Customers and Vendors.  Easy to install, and easy to use.
