Jobs, Positions, Employees and Workers in Talent

Dear Experts

As per my research, we need to configure the below setup in Talent

- Jobs

- Positions

- Employees

- Assign an Employee to a Position to create a Worker

Personally I find this setup is a bit too complicated. My requirement is we need to manage the list of Employees and the reporting hierarchy between Employees. Do you suggest any other approach to maintain data for this requirement?

    Hi Nghia Phan,

    Unfortunately this is the way to configure the system. It's kind of complicated, I agree with you on that, but this also make reporting and the ongoing administration of the system a lot better. When you do the setup with the Excel add-in it is better then if you registre it manually.

    Hi Nghia,

    this is also a recommended way from the HR perspective - while an employee leaves the company and you need to change all the hierarchy, a position will only remain unoccupied and it will be available for a newly hired.

    on a long term, this is better then have reporting hierarchy between employees, especially in an company with a high attrition rate.
