Exporting Report into pdf format leads to plain text instead of barcode

Posted on by 2,432

Hi All,

I am getting barcode while printing the report to screen but while exporting report to pdf or word format,

it leads to plain text which is starting and ending with asterisk symbol instead of barcode.

This is working perfectly in dev environment and testing environment but it is not working in production environment.

e.g., * PO-0000156*

Thanks,

Raziq

Can you tell us which actions you took? Did you restart?

The others are correct you need to install the barcode font if it does not export correctly.  Try the following

    1. Install font on AOS
      1. If you are running an AX Cluster be sure to install it on all AOS's
    2. Install font on SQL/SSRS box
      1. If you are running a SQL cluster be sure to install it on all AOS's
    3. When installing be sure to install the font thru the control panel>fonts and not C:\windows\fonts for some odd reason windows server 2012 R1+ does not always install the font correctly when you copy to the specific folder but it does if you use the control panel Reboot SQL boxes Reboot AX AOS boxes
    4. Reboot SQL boxes
    5. Reboot AX AOS boxes

Hi Raziq, you will need to identify which font was used for the barcode. Then get hold of the file and follow these instructions on the SSRS server (from Internet):

    To install a font

    1. Open Fonts by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Fonts.
    2. Click File, and then click Install New Font. ...
    3. In the Add Fonts dialog box, under Drives, click the drive where the font that you want to install is located.

Hi Raziq, the file is probably not installed in the SSRS production server. Can you verify if the barcode font file is present on the SSRS production server?
