Production environment deployed by partner AAD account

Dear all,

I am getting troubles trying to import my AAD azure users. The following error message is shown (system administration -> Users -> import users):

From my other environments: acceptance test and development everything works fine so I can import the users from my corporate AAD.

After doing some research on LCS I realized that the partner deployed the production environment using his own account and the other envs (the acceptance test env and development env) were deployed using my AAD admin account:

Production env:

I think that Microsoft recommends using the admin account of AAD tenant from which the users will be imported. My understanding is if I want to deploy dyn 365 under my corporate tenant and my AAD the production environment should be deployed using my azure AAD admin account instead of the partner account.
