Tool or periodic task to manually recalculate on-hand list specifically on order quantity

Anyone has an idea on an existing standard tool (e.g. Periodic Task) to manually recalculate on-hand list specifically on order quantity or all quantity columns?

From time to time, the On Order quantity has values on certain items that don not have inventory transaction with status On Order.  Any feedback on how you go about this is appreciated.  Thanks.

Usually, insufficient development causes this issue. Back in the day, we used to run a job to recalculate inventory on-hand.

    D365FO has changed that.

To manually recalculate on-hand inventory in Dynamics 365, navigate to "Inventory management > Periodic tasks > Closing and adjustment" and use the "Inventory adjustment wizard" to adjust the on-hand quantity by selecting the "On-hand" option for the method of cost value adjustment; this allows you to directly modify the current inventory levels based on a physical count.

    Thanks @Guy Terry!

We have an ISV solution related to length management of a released product.  However, I am seeking a tool that Microsoft has built to address multiple ISV solutions globally that is stuffing up entries on at least inventsum table for on-hand list.

On-hand is updated in real-time by F&O. It should not need recalculating or manually updating. If you are finding incorrect values, it'd be best to investigate why and determine if its a bug in standard (for MSFT to fix) or if you have a development or ISV product that is causing the issue.

If you run the Consistency checker for On-hand (and run it in Fix mode), do you find that it corrects the On hand data? (Ideally test this in a UAT environment first). Hint - you can run the On hand consistency checker for a single item.
