Hi
Recently, a few of my customers have upgraded either to Win 11 or purchased new machines with Win 11 OS.
They discover that the Printer Selection that worked for Win 10 is no longer working for Win 11.
The Printer menu will just pick the default printer.
Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?
I had the same issue at a NAV2018 customer.
This issue is caused by the new printer dialog.
Fortunately there is a possibility to disable the new print dialog in the registry.
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Print\UnifiedPrintDialog]
"PreferLegacyPrintDialog"=dword:00000001
After running this the old printer dialog is used and the printer of the printer selection table is pre-selected again.
Hi
I have already suggested selecting the printers specifically for the task.
They need the hardcopy for business purposes.
I also can't say it is not a NAV issue since the user will reasonably expect the printer to be selected correctly. I would be upset if my email is routed to a different user when I upgrade to Win 11.
I am glad with the direction of Business Central where the solution is almost independent of hardware.
Hi, will it be a problem to print other things (PDF, Excel, etc.) in your Win11?
This does not appear to be a NAV issue.
Looks like that could be some kind of security or firewall in win 11
