Is it possible to settle EDC batches outside of RMS Manager? I know that I can set security so that cashiers cannot get to other areas of RMS Manager, but the customer would like to keep cashiers out of RMS Manager completely.

Long story short, unless your CC processor supports auto-settling from their end, there is not much that can get done.
Jeff has a good "work-around" but it can certainly have its share or problems. For example if you use a macro application like he suggested and record the typical sequence of events to settle. And that may work in the majority of situations, but if someone leave the wrong window open one night the script may not run properly and you wont necessarily know. Or worse yet, if something goes wrong with the settle and you get a technical error, how would you ever know you need ot get in touch with your processor?
Sure, create a script program like AutoIt www.autoitscript.com/.../autoit
Is there any other way to auto Settle?
If you are using Mercury Credit Card Processing there is an option for Auto Settlement

You have to use the Manager program to settle credit cards.

The only way your client can settle CC batches is through Manager. This is one of those cases where you have to convince your client to setup the security feature in RMS in order to settle batches.
