Switching from Intuit POS to Microsoft POS, Citizen CT-S300 receipt printer

Hello. I am currently looking to upgrade our Intuit POS software to Microsoft POS. I have installed a trial version of MS POS 2009 on one of our computers that currently have Intuit-approved hardware that include "Citizen CT-S300" receipt printer and "MMF Val-u line" cash drawer.

I have four check-out lanes with identical hardware setup. I am getting an error message when I open up Microsoft POS regarding a problem with the cash drawer. I installed OPOS driver 1.8 drom Citizen website and followed directions to add the receipt printer and the cash drawer.

The error message simply states that there is an error with the cash drawer, possibly an OPOS compatibility issue.

Is anyone using Citizen CT-S300 receipt printer or a MMF Val-u line cash drawer who can help me out here? Much appreciated!!!

(Btw, I contacted Microsoft, but they said I would have to pay for technical help... But the thing is, they would be losing business by not assisting me with this issue. 5 licenses may not sound like a lot, but I would definitely not recommend it to people I know if I can't get it to work).

Thanks,

Fresh

I have Microsoft POS and I constantly have problems with my receipt printer getting errors....not sure what the issue is. I hate to say it but I have not been able to get assistance from Microsoft on any issue, since I purchased it. If I had more help I would probably enjoy using it more and would have more kind things to say....not the case.
