Unable to load Plugin Assembly

Hi All,

I am registering plugin in plugin registration tool, it's getting below error,

"Unable to load plugin Assembly"

I used IL merge for merging Newtonsoft json dll with my plugin dll.

I have two helper classes(one is static class) to fetch data from external Api and convert it into c# classes to insert records in CRM D365.

Thanks,

Parashuram Jadhav

    Hi,

You should never use IL merge in plugin assemblies because it is not supported and will cause you issues in the future.

Rather than use newtonsoft’s assembly you can use the standard .net Json handling - see www.develop1.net/.../ILMergeNotSupported

    Hope this helps

Thank you so much Scott, I also strongly support not to use ILMerge for Json DLL merging .I faced so much issues in last two days for ILMerge.

Initially I downloaded latest version of Json, it started giving error while building solution in merging DLL Process. I googled and come to know that Json 10.0.2 version will work ILmerge.

So now I am able register plugin without issue by using deserializing process which is mentioned in link as www.develop1.net/.../ILMergeNotSupported
