Dynamics o-premise v.9.0.5.5 OOtB Autonumber skips 50

The system is on premise Dynamics v.9.0.5.5 and it is using the Out of the Box autonumber feature, configured using the XRM plugin "Autonumber manager".

The part that skips is the {skipnum:4}.

This issue has occurred several times now.

We have checked using auditing and the Recycle bin plugin and no records have been deleted/disabled.

Is this a known issue for this version, and if so is it resolved in later versions?

Yes, this is a known issue and it seems that it would be resolved. This a similar thread about this:
