Hi Everyone

I have updated challan information in payment journal and also settled the payments with TDS settlement account. But now i am unable to see any challan information in posted witholding tax and even transactions are not marked closed in witholding tax settlement periods.

can anyone please see and help?

    Hi Deepak,

It is working in my environment perfectly. The root cause i provided was the only thing which was not working for me earlier but it worked once i unticked that boolean on journal names and created a new payment voucher with settlement of Vendor invoices (from Income tax authority vendor).

Can you just briefly explain what process you are following after performing TDS settlement? Are you selecting that generated invoice during payment generation and after posting the same will be updating as Payment voucher on the Posted Withholding tax form.. And then if you update the BSR and challan details, it updates.

    Hi Neeraj

I have tested it but is still same. Challan details BSR code, Challan number are still not coming in posted witholding tax.

Tax>inquiries and reports>witholding tax inquiries >posted witholding tax.

    can you please check

    Thanks

    Hi Neeraj

But we enter challan details after posting payment journals. But let’s see I am trying to test as per your suggestion. Will share the outcomes in sometime.

    Thanks

    Hi Deepak,

Can you please confirm the setting of "Number allocation at posting" At payment journal names?

It should be "No" Then only system will have same voucher number at payment journal line creation and at the time of posting.

If the setting is Yes, then a temporary number generates which tries to update the BSR, Challan number etc and it does not match with posted voucher so you won't see it's updating..

So I recommend to create a separate journal for payment to achieve this with keeping setting of Number allocation at posting as "No"..

Please let me know after this testing.

    Regards,
    Neeraj Kumar
