Amount is coming up as 0.00 when I try and see Account info from Budget in Cards

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

In GP 2015 when I go to Cards, Budget, select the budget, and Open Using Dynamics GP and search an account number, the amount displays as 0.00 for each period and the total. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. In the excel document in Cards, I have the account number, description, 12 periods, and then a total column. How do I get GP to read that total column and the column for each period?

If so, I have seen instances where if I imported from an xls file it would work as opposed to an xlsx file. www.myfirstpremiercard.com

Richard is right - if you export the prior year's budget from GP, you'll be able to use that excel file to put your numbers into and reimport this into a new budget id.

Did you build this spreadsheet using GP and then populate it? Have you tried using a different computer?

It won't let me import it as an .xls file. When I try and do import from excel, the only file option it gives me is .xlsx and it won't allow me to change it.

Have you completed the process by importing this budget into GP?  If so, I have seen instances where if I imported from an xls file it would work as opposed to an xlsx file.
