question on BC Cloud for one of my global customers

Question: how does “one” MS BC partner located in one location (my company),,, manage all of the country sites for one global client (in BC cloud)?

I have a client which is located all over the world, and they would like my company to manage all of their locations’ business central databases in the BC cloud.  I am actively managing their NAV databases today.  Their corporate HQ is in California USA, and they have subsidiaries all over the world.  Many are running NAV perpetual licenses now, and some would be new to BC cloud.

My company and Velosio/Stratos work together on provisioning BC cloud licenses, and there could be discounts involved because my client is current on their enhancements.

The latest one is this - we were going to split their AU database into the country specific BC cloud databases…

  • AU:  theirdomain.com
  • NZ:  theirdomain.com

Their tenants are registered in the US, but MS must know it is actually in AU/NZ.

When my client and I try to start a BC cloud license (with Velosio), and attempt to do the delegation, MS gives us this ERROR:   “Contact your partner.  They can’t sell to you because they are in a different country/region”

is there any option for my company to manage the BC cloud licenses here??

thanks.  Eric

You need to have an CSP agreement for every country / region that you want to sell Business Central in.

Or you can team up with a local partner to have your client purchase the license through them.

But even in the situations where you have not sold your license you can still be the delegated admin for the BC instances for the different regions.

You should contact Microsoft and see how many regions you can get CSP partner ship for.

In this case, Velosio/Stratos is my CSP that I use to provision BC cloud licenses, and they are only registered in the US.

If I remember correctly, because my company only has a physical presence in the US, I was not able to even work with CSP’s registered in other countries.

Ok,,, so if I find a CSP in AU/NZ or a local partner, then I should be able to provision BC cloud for my customers through them,, one way or another?

I did not want to add another layer to my customers’ BC cloud licenses, but I guess it is all behind the scenes.

    Thanks!

Correct team up with a local partner in the regions needed. They can provide the license and you can still provide the services.

Maybe they also are willing to share the license revenue with you.

I was really trying to avoid this additional layer, but thank you for the information!
