Someone can help me for Reference Data source for Form?

Dear All,

I would like to know how to setup DataSource for a form in D365. Now I try to customize a form but for Reference Data Sources sometime it doesn't show a table for reference.

Can you guide me how to break down this obstacle?(In case if you have a image or video is the best to understand).

Hi Thanakorn,

Do you define the Join Relation property of the reference data source to specifies a relation object from a table in the form data source?

To add a datasource on form, first there should be a relation for those 2 tables. Then only you would be able to give the reference datasource in form for that table.

After selecting the table and giving all the cardinality you need to give the relation. Like for example if you open VendTable, in the relations node check for DirPartyTable. There check how they have given a relation between 2 tables. You only mentioned table but the related fields should be mentioned to get a relation.

Hi Thanakorn Kanjiropas,

Adding Reference DataSource is applicable only if you have Surrogate key or RecId field relation with the VendTrans table in your "HSTHPaymAdviceLine" table.

So, in your scenario you are adding a LastSettlementVoucer as a relation. So, using this relation you cannot add a reference DataSource.

In fact, Reference DataSource will be added automatically if you add a surrogate key or RecId field from DataSource to the form design.
