Physical inventory order (recount) - Sum of recordings

Hi,

If you do an inventory count using a physical inventory order, you sometimes expect to get a miss count, and want to do a recount on those items.
How I understood it, you can make a new recording with the items that you want recounted. So far so good.

example:
Our warehouse workers counted 360 PCS the first time, but we expected 756.
We then created a new recording with that item and bin for a recount. And again they counted 360.
And as a test I added a 3rd count of 360.

However, now the quantity recorded (base) is set to 360+360+360 = 1080.
I would expect it to be 360 (the last recorded count), since we have counted the same item/bin.

When posting this we get a positive adjustment when it should be negative.

WHY?
Is there any reason why it sums the recording lines?
Is this how it's suppose to work?
Or ís it just setup?

// Thanks

    As far as I know, this is standard behavior.
    If you don't need this, you can just use the Physical inventory journals and record a result quantity.

    Thanks
