Error message in Fixed Assets GP 2013 R2

Hi All,

How do I resolve the following error message?

Asset FNA00523 Suffix 1 is not an active asset and can not be accessed via cards. I need to run depreciation for 3 assets however I get the following message?

How do I make the assets active?

William,

I would start by checking the status of the asset in the FA00100

select ASSETSTATUS from FA00100; possible values are:

1 – Active

2 – Deleted

3 – Partial Open

4 – Retired

If the asset was retired, you could do a retirement undo transaction to reactivate it.

If you are not quite lucky with SQL, check the asset status from the Smart List . Under Fixed Asset folder, choose the fixed asset. Add the column "Asset Status", from the column button as shown below

Then you may proceed accordingly, as Harry describes above

While adding NEW assets in General Information getting following message.

Asset 412 Suffix 1 is not an ACTIVE asset and can not be accessed via

Check FA00100 could not find Asset ID.
