Exporting Log Files from LCS

Hello, dear community members,

I want to export and store my log files dynamically into my local database or cloud (both solutions are acceptable) from Lifecycle Services Dynamics 365. The initial data comes to Azure Data Explorer, and then the log files are transferred and stored in Dynamics 365 LCS. Local or cloud databases should be automatically updated as soon as there are new logs in LCS, and there must be no limits to downloading log files such as 5000 rows per export.

I appreciate any help you can provide!

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Nusrat,

Can you explain your actual question? What exact do you want to get as an answer? Can you also tell what exact business requirement you try to fulfill? Is the environment a cloud hosted environment or an on-premise environment?

The field of business is Finance Operations. I need to create a stream that automatically exports log files (mainly error logs) from Azure Data Explorer (Dynamics 365) to the cloud-hosted environment database. But the problem is the log files are not stored in ADX they are stored in LCS during the process, so I need to export logs from LCS. According to Microsoft's documentation, I have found this solution docs.microsoft.com/.../azure-data-explorer. But the solution I have found suggests I export log files in CSV format with 5000 rows log files limitation from dedicated UI. I would like to create a system that exports logs for me without limitation and automatically (without human intervention, no need for interaction with UI)

You didn't tell business requirement what would be the purpose of having the data in your own database. I would like to understand what will happen with the data, so why you would need it as an automated process.

Apart from the manual exercise you already found, there is no other option to export the data from LCS.

Business requirements are to analyze crashes, deadlocks, slow interactions and long-running queries. Currently, we can get company's logs only from LCS manually but would like to automate as much as possible
