MS CRM 365 OnPrimse Security Role Issue different on different enviornments

Hi Experts,

I am facing a strange issue in OnPrimse Version of Dynamics CRM 365 version 8.2.2. It is working in one environment and not working in another environment.

I have created a security role after coping in Builtin Role "Sales Manager" and assigned this role to a dashboard. When a user login with this security role. He is not able to see Dashboard window. Whereas If I gave that user "Sys admin" then he is able to see the dashboard.

I have gave that user all organization level permissions for all entities, Miscellaneous etc. But its not working. Whereas It is working in development environment with same role.  is it related with some config or installation issue.

Please let me know if someone knows how to debug it ?

    In which case it is likely that you need to check if that dashboard is assigned to that security role. Go to settings -> Customisation -> Customise the System and select Dashboards

    Then select the dashboard you are worried about and click Enable Security Roles

    Then check the dashboard is properly configured

    Hi,

    That's fine. But I don't think so its a permission issue. because I have created a new role and give all organization level access permissions to that role.  Also, I have given the dashboard to that role.

    Hi,

    Imported solution does not contain roles. So please compare roles and then assign proper permission. it is only permission issue.

    I have created some views and that views are in the dashboard. I have assigned dashboard to that role. But for that role dashboard window pop ups and does not populate the views under this dashboard

    But I have imported the solution. so roles are same.

    Have you shared the views and charts in that particular user?

    You will need to check the permissions of the Sales Manager Role in both instances as clearly there is some permission within the role in the Development environment that is not in the Production environment.

    One fix would be to create an empty solution in the development environment add that role to the solution, export it and import it into the production environment. Otherwise you will need to open both environments up and individually compare the security role screen by screen to identify what bits are different,
