Deadlock Error while using RMS Manager/OPS

Our stores have been experiencing this Deadlock error (message below) even though a patch (3 triggers) from Microsoft through New West was applied .

Does anyone have any idea how to permanently resolve this issue?

Any assistance will be highly appreciated.

Error: Run-time error: '-2147467259(80004005)':

Transaction (Process ID 55) was Deadlock on lock resources with another process and has been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun the transaction.

    Hi Kevin. I am wondering what impact that will have on our DB and Point of Sale Application in our stores? Our POS infrastructure consist of one Headquarter and two Stores with a total of 9 registers.

    Hi Darryll,

    Can you try to disable the following triggers and verify whether they solve the issue?

    "tr_ItemValueLog" trigger - Item table

    "tr_TransactionEntryComputedQuantity" trigger - Transaction Entry table.

    "tr_ComputeQuantity" trigger - Inventory Transfer Log table.

    We have encountered this issue in the past, and after several attempts with Microsoft with no success, we have managed to disabled the above triggers and now we are no longer encountering such deadlocks. This issue happens normally when you have a high demand store with a lot of point of sales (over 25) working at the same time.

    Hey Kevin thanks for the reply, the error I am getting though relates more to a deadlock error using an SQL db, but thanks again.
