Change background color of a form control in production floor execution interface

I have a requirement where I need to change background color of a form control to set it to green, yellow or red based on certain conditions. I understand that this code:  realControl.backgroundColor(WinAPI::rgb2int(255, 0, 0)) will work to change the background color of a form control, on regular d3565 forms.
But in production floor execution interface, I created a custom form with style like regular pfe interface forms. I followed the steps mentioned in this doc: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/supply-chain/supply-chain-dev/production-floor-execution-styles to create and style my form in pfe interface. But for some reason I cannot change the background color of control in the form. I want to change background color of the control Result Value but it is not working with that code. I think it is because we cannot override the default styles applied in pfe? This is my custom form:

I don't think it's possible, since these forms are a bit special.
Last time I looked into customizing the production floor execution interface, granted before Microsoft released official guide lines, I had to inject CSS to style the interface.

    Thanks for the reply  .
What if I created a custom form and the form opens outside pfe interface like regular d365 forms without styling. In that case I can apply the background color. But will it fall under the device license? If a device is assigned device license and it can access PFE, but then when I create custom form, it pops out of pfe interface, then can this form be accessed with still device license?

As I understand the license guide, it's tied to functionality rather than specific entry points. So as long as you don't deviate I believe you are still covered by the device license. But thread carefully, not fun to be caught during an audit if you deviate. Also see if you can get a binding answer from Microsoft of the licensing CSP.

However, Microsoft is working on implementing license enforcement, and I do wonder if the form get's caught. Remember to set the view and maintain user license accordingly.
