Generating a report in excel using an excel template

Hi 

I have a requirement where I will have to generate a report in excel based on a template.

Is it possible then I need a little help on this as I can see the two report formats supported are rdlc and word.

    The templates are only rdlc and word I want an excel template to be implemeted.

    Hi, I have experienced a customer who used Excel Template, but I do not recommend this practice.
    They use VBA to get Odata data to Excel sheet from NAV, then uses Power Query to organize the data, and finally uses VBA again to display it on the Template. It turns out to be very inefficient.

    PS: If you use BC, Excel Template may be supported in BC20 next year.
