GP 2013 Upgrade Errors Cannot Resolve

I am upgrading from GP 10 build 1779 to GP 2013 which is a supported path.  I am getting almost the identical errors on all my company databases when I run utilities.  The errors are mostly related to not having the correct structure prior to conversion.  I followed Kelly Youells "GP2013 Known Upgrade Issues" video to recreate the IV70500 and GL00201 but I still keep getting the same error message.  My GL account framework in the DYNAMICS db for SY003001 and SY00302 is "5-4-5".  When I run the sp_help IV70500 it said it was "5-5-5".  In Kelly's video she said even numbers should be rounded up to the next odd number.  If that was the case then my account framework should already match.  I tried creating a new IV70500 per the video and changed it to "5-4-5" but that still did not resolve the error.  I feel pretty stuck now and can't figure out why her steps didn't work for me.  Any help would be fabulous.  Thanks

    Hi Ryan,

At this point it may be better to open a support case so an engineer can stream in with you and see what is going on.

RE: GP 2013 Upgrade Errors Cannot Resolve

Thanks to everyone that has replied.  Unfortunately I still am getting the same errors after trying many of these recommendations.  I changed the GL structure on the GL00201 directly in my GP Test environment to match the GP2013 table structure (using the create and insert instructions mentioned earlier in my post) and then copied the database to my GP2013 enviornment and ran the upgrade again.  I verified the structure matches my 5-4-5 in GP2013 but it still errors out.  There has to be a better way or more clear instructions somewhere on gettting this to work?  Would it be easier to install GP 2010 on my GP Test environment and then do the upgrade from 10.0 to GP 2010 and then move the databases to my new server with GP 2013?  I can't install GP 10.0 on my 2013 server due to incompatiability.

Typically we see this issue occur when you bring the databases to a new server to do a test upgrade or something like that. Most people will create the Dynamics database but choose the wrong framework, they then will restore the back of the Live Dynamics database. The problem with this when you create the Dynamics database it will sync the Dynamics.dic file with that framework. Most of the time we just set the Synchronize line to equal true when you run into these errors. This will synch with the framework and correct the issue. If that doesn't work you will need to manually recreate the table with the correct framework which in this case would be 5-4-5.

Does the upgrade fail on the TWO database as well? If not, use TWO..IV70500 as a guide. I have always made it an exact match. You may need to add fields and then make the fields the exact same zie not to mention  adjusting the indexes.

Thanks Richard I will give that a shot.  One more question though.  Do you know if my GL segments need to be the 5-4-5 like shown in the SY00302 or should it be rounded up to the 5-5-5.

I have run into these when I have seen people copy databases from server to server and the segment structure was close enough to run GP but not enough to upgrade. The solution was to go to these databases and change the structure to match what it needs to be prior to the upgrade.
