    Hi @pr@n,

For question 1 and 3 you can find answer in docs.microsoft.com/.../create-work-workspaces

    For question 2 in docs.microsoft.com/.../version-control-metadata-navigation

    Sergei,

I saw There are three types of workspace permissions:

       Private workspace

       Public workspace (limited)

       Public workspace

    Which one recommended to select?

    Hi @rp@n,

I recommend selecting public workspace if you are planning to share the same VM with other developers.

    Hi @rp@n,

On the second link, there is the step on how to map the local folder to the folder in the branch. You need to map 2 folders in one workspace, metadata, and project. The metadata folder from the branch is linked to K:\AosService\PackagesLocalDirectory (disk letter can depend on the version and environment), project folder from the branch can be mapped to any folder, but usually mapped to C:\Users\user_name\Documents\Visual Studio 2015 (or 2017)\Projects

Check if emiralfg.com/.../ can guide you

    docs.microsoft.com/.../version-control-metadata-navigation

    Thanks Sergei,

Now i almost understand. As you said

"map the local folder to the folder in the branch".

Here local folder = Workspace folder

Folder in the branch = For example, DEV

    Is it right?

As I saw in Solution explorer

    Trunk 》Main- Metadata, Project

              》DEV- Metadata , Project

I think Main is the default branch. What it stored?

    Hi @rp@n,

I can only guess that DEV is for development and you need to map metadata and project folders to the local folder as I described above. Main most likely used for release process (merge ready changes from DEV to Main and create deployable package from Main in build pipeline).

But I recommend you to check with your team purpose of DEV and Main brances.

    Thanks Sergei,

Now I assumed that I having all metadata means customized elements with projects in DEV branch.

Kindly let me know @ now I wants to create  the Deployable package then what process need to follow...

    Please explain
