Missing Role Centre

With the recent updates to BC the number of Role Centres in the list available on the My Settings card has dramatically decreased.

In that cull went the "Finance" role centre. I want to keep using it.

On the Profile (Roles) card the Finance role centre is all ticked for Enabled, Use as default profile, and Show in Role Explorer.

Yet it does not show up and I can't use it.

Please assist me to use this role centre again.

I tested the same in my side:

And you are totally right, the Finance Role is not present in the Available Roles...and still keeps Business Manager as default Role...

I would suggest you to open a Service Request so we can investigate this further and escalate to our Product Team.

List of role center available in Business Central Wave 2

Here is list of role center excluded and changed. ("Finance" role center is excluded by MS)

Hi,

This has been excluded by Microsoft. But if you want to see it open Finance profile and either remove this description or change it. Then again open my settings and see Finance in the list of Roles.

Hi Bilal, Have you checked in on-premises of Business Central 15 or 16 as they do not contain specific wording as mentioned by Microsoft still they open as blank profiles pages for Finance, Warehouse and Purchase.

Oh, Ok, As if I see the same with the latest release of 15

without any wording, as mentioned by Microsoft of "Navigation" and they are all blank for warehouse, Purchase, and some other.

As they have removed Layout from the object itself on Coding Level and have kept only Role explorer.

Understood My issue,

So for onpremises and all Users, Microsoft is introducing new Role Centers and disabling old ones and enabling new ones, so if to go back to old one then just enable old one and disable New one to avoid confusion. Old one was WMS for Warehouse Users and Now another one is added as Warehouse for specific department which does have only explorer till Prem release

Hi For SAAS solution worked for me.

We need to empty description field from role card then it will be available on list.
