Hello

I am trying to import general ledger data from dynamics. the relevant data entity is "LedgerJournalLines". However, it does not show recent data from other legal entities.

are there a guidelines/resources to show how to set up a refresh schedule for a data entity?

thanks,

Sam

For Odata there isn't any refresh required for Data entities. Odata is real time data access.

thanks Mohit. I am not using BYODB but trying to make sure that certain data entities are being refreshed. I connect to them using Odata since the volume is very limited. Do you know which module can be used to schedule specific data entities for refresh? I appreciate any links videos. (thanks for the videos on the other question btw)

If you are using BYOD then first step would be identify the Data projects set for Data entity export to BYOD. Generally, batch job is setup under same name as data project, see if you can find it. Batch jobs are set on recurring basis to export to BYOD.

I am not quite sure as well. I have inherited a D365 that I am trying to figure out. The main question is how to set up an auto refresh for a data entity. It looks like the data entity has been set (not sure if it's a custom one) but the data is not refreshed. The interesting part is that data seems to be up to date for one legal entity but other legal entities only show old data. I am a complete newbie to D365 so I appreciate any references to guidelines/videos

hey Mohit, thanks for your answer. the problem is that the data in the data entity itself is not refreshed. on the BYODB, I have less than 500K rows all in all so I am going with OData for now but I am trying to figure out what is the main framework to manage and keep data entities refreshed. I am a complete newbie with D365 so I assume it has to do with data projects

Hi Samco, If you are exporting data to file from D365 F&O then no refresh is required. However if its batch jobs that running to export data to Database (BYOD, Azure Data Lake) then batch job recurrence should be checked. Please provide more information if you are importing data to D365 F&O or exporting it.

    Hi Samco,

Can you elaborate on this question? What is the link between import of data and not showing recent data from other legal entities?
