Show SharePoint Document as Link or Grid

I have integrated with SharePoint online successfully but my client is not happy with the number of clicks it takes to get to the actual file.  They would like to click on an icon within the CRM grid, that will open the file directly (when there is only a single document in the SP library).  If there is more than one document, then a grid should be shown.   I am new to CRM and I don't know how to determine the number of documents within the SP library nor how to link directly to the file within said SP library.  Anyone ever successfully work such a scenario?  Any ideas on where to begin investigating?

    if setup correctly, the integrated view should only show files linked to the corresponding record and there should be no need to click number of times to go to the actual folder.

    Can you go to the form with SP integration view, and check your view to make sure it says "Document Assoiated Grid" and not "All SharePoint Document"?  

    If you do not have grid setup that is linked to a form in Dynamic CRM entity, below are some tutorials that should help:
