how to organize button grids in pos in dynamics 365 commerce

Posted on by 465

Hi,

Even though I have a fresh button grid in POS Canvas, all the buttons are not shown.

I have two button grids here one for Products and another one for Cashier with many buttons in each but the system is showing only a few.

Please advice

Yes, sample layouts are available on Dynamics 365 Commerce demo environment

You can use the Data Management to do a mass export. Refer: Export Screen Layout

    OR

You can use the import/export functionality in the layout designer to just export the layout.

Thank you very much for the timely suggestion.

Can I download any sample layouts from Microsoft or from any other source? Please

Based on your screenshot, the button on the screen layout is set accommodate less.

    1. In the case of the button grid on the top right. The button grid size on the screen layout is set to accommodate only 3 rows and 4 columns. In this case, even if you have 4 rows in the original button grid it will only 3. You can add space for additional columns by adjusting the size of the button grid in layout design. Resize the grid size as shown below.

    2. In the case of the blue button grid at the bottom, you have only space for 1 row and 4 columns.

    3. If you have other grids added, but not showing on the screen. Make sure that you check the following.

    a. Make sure that you you have added the grid ID to layout zone in Transaction screen 1-5.

    b. Drag the respective button grid from pane in the left to the layout. Please keep in mind that if you have mapped a button grid against "Transaction Screen 2", you drag button grid 2 in the layout design.
