GP2013 here. Trying to determine the user who created a record/transaction in GP Payables (for instance PM10000 table). MDFUSRID column looks like the way to go but it is empty for all the records in the table. Is there another way to find out this type of information and/or make MDFUSRID work?

Thank you for your reply Richard! Spent some time researching Audit Trails tool. Seems very powerful but may be a bit overkill for what I'm trying to do. Which is configuring eConnect and MSMQ. Everything works great except that I don't know who created a transaction in the first place. Looks like I need to configure a custom Requester document type.
You need to acquire and activate audit trails. This tool can record the "who did what when" in GP going forward. Some GP tables have a date/time created as well as either a last updated by or created by record holding the user ID, but not all. For example, for the vendor record, I only see the created and modified dates but not the user ids,
