How to Find Posted Journal Entries

Hi:

How or where can I check to see if I have posted a general journal?  When I look under Posted General Journals, it is not clear.

With previously used applications, I would import everything and then review before posting.

But, at that time, I could easily find the posted data because I had a batch number to look for.

Is there an easy way to locate posted batches?

Thanks!

John

    John,

When anything is posted I always look in General Ledger Entries this is where everything is posted.  In my opinion BC really doesn't have batches like GP did.  If I am looking for anything unposted I actually use a configuration package and export out the 81 table.

    Good luck.

    Hi,

To add to what Tanya has suggested I'd also recommend to use the "G/L Register" page as well.

When you post any transaction / journal in BC as well as G/L entries and all other relevant entries a "G/L Register" is created which is a reference to all the entries created by that transaction / journal.

Therefore you can go to the "G/L Register" page and then drilldown on all the entries. i.e. if the "G/L Register" was created by posting a Sales Invoice you'd get one G/L Register and from that you could see G/L Entries and Customer Ledger Entries.

In my opinion the "G/L Register no" is the closest thing you get in BC to GP's journal number.

    Thanks
