Advanced Warehouse - PO Receipt disable expiry date check

With advanced warehousing enabled for 2012 R3 on purchase order receipts is there a way of disabling the batch number expiry date check/mandatory input? 

When using the mobile device our users are required to enter an expiry date for batches even if the batch is not date controlled either by FIFO/FEFO or shelf life.
