Excluding current location from movement by template suggested location

I am using movement by template menu item. Sometimes due to my location directive actions, the location suggested by movement by template is the same location where the item is. For example, I have stock on location L01-01-01 which I want to move by template. When I use the standard menu item, I get suggested the same location (L01-01-01) because it happens to be the top priority result on the location directive.

Question: Is it possible to automatically exclude the current location on the location directive action query?

    Hi,

In case your search for put location is an empty location than you can exclude the current location by using the strategy "Empty location with no incoming work" along with the location query. This allows system to exclude the current location as it is not empty.

See below with strategy none and location query is setup to find location in the same zone where current location is present. System gives the put location same as current location (Starting location)

See below now when we do the same with strategy "Empty location with no incoming work"

Ideally Pick and put locations are 2 locations which are different in location type, profile, zone for rack.  Why you want to play and put the item in the same range of locations from where you are starting to pick?

    Good day,

Can you show maybe share a screenshot of the location directive for the movement by template?

    Best regards,

No, I don't think it is possible exactly as you describe. But you have options for ensuring that an appropriate Location directive is used.

What are you trying to achieve with this movement by template?
