Generating a New Phone Call based on the "Next Follow Up Field" when Completing a Phone Call Activity

Hello everyone,

I want to generate a workflow that when you complete a phone call, it creates a new phone call based on the information filled out in the Next Follow-Up field of the completed phone call. 

I want the Follow-Up date on the phone call that will be completed to become the Due Date for the new phone call. I could not figure out how to make a field pull data from an old activity to a new one.

Is this possible? 

Here is what I had so far..

    What type of the field "Next Follow-Up"?

    Could you give an example of the contents of this field?

    Here is an image of what the fields look like for me in the "Phone Call" activity. Is this not an out-of-the-box feature?

    Hi CourtneyR11,

    Are you using D365 On-premise v8?

    We can use workflow to create a new phone call based on the completed phone call.

    The workflow is set like this.

    Select the right scope, select Record is created and Record status changes.

    Add a step - Check Condition, set Phone Call, Activity Status, Equals, Completed.

    Then add a step - Create Record, select create Phone Call. Select the corresponding fields.

    Could you tell me where are you currently stuck?

    Oh, my concern was that I thought the regarding "phone call" field would be referring to the current phone call rather than the past one.. This is perfect then. Thank you very much for your help, I appreciate it!
