Hi Richard,
You can add description using the same steps you used for GP 8. I don’t think there are any changes in table structure of PM tables. I think you will need to add field “Transaction Description” from table PM Payment stub Duplicate using the report writer.
Other option is you can upgrade the report dictionary file to GP 10 using the Update modified forms and reports in GP utilities (Start>> Programs >> Microsoft Dynamics>> [GP instance name] >>GP utilities. It is better option if you have modified check to align with preprinted check format and don’t want to make all those change again. Refer to upgrade documentation for steps to upgrader the reports dictionary or blog post below

You can upgrade the whole dictionary and then export a package file for only checks format and import it in your GP 10 production environment. Make sure you have backup of dictioary files for upgrading them
